For the second year in a row, Prism Projection, Inc. of Sully, Iowa, has been awarded the Best Debuting Product for Lighting at the LDI trade show and conference. Products being unveiled for the first time at LDI are eligible for the prestigious award, with winners being selected by a panel of industry experts. The award was presented in a ceremony at the LDI exhibit hall in Las Vegas on Oct. 23, 2010. The award was presented to Garrett Young (at left) by Live Design editor Marian Sandberg (at right).

The RevEAL Studio, the second product to be released by Prism, is a fresnel-type fixture that boasts twice the output of Prism’s first product, the RevEAL ColorWash, while maintaining the company’s signature high color quality. The beam is digitally adjustable from 20-70 degrees, giving designers an extra dimension of control.

Prism also demonstrated a prototype of its third and newest product, the RevEAL Profile, described as the brightest framing shutter projector in the industry. Young, the company’s president and founder, said, “The industry has long awaited an eco-friendly solution to projection fixtures and responded with overwhelming excitement when we displayed this disruptive prototype.”

In 2009, Prism’s RevEAL CW was awarded the Best Debuting Product for Lighting award at LDI, which is the largest annual gathering of entertainment technology professionals in North America. No other company in the show’s 23-year history has won the award two years in a row.

Since the CW was released, Prism has dramatically expanded its sales network to include dealers and representatives in over ten countries on four continents. “Prism offers sustainable lighting solutions without compromise for the entertainment industry and the world has taken notice,” Young said.

Prism Projection has assembled a world-class collection of engineering talent, incorporating specialists in optics, electronics, software, material science, mechanical design, and manufacturing management. Dedicated to solving difficult and unique optical and electronic challenges, Prism manufactures its RevEAL line of fixtures in the United States at its Iowa headquarters.
