marv_goodyk_award_2010.jpgLong time Sully Lions Club member Marvin Goodyk of Sully was presented the Warren Coleman Honorary Award #2962 during the Sully Lions Club meeting Dec. 13, 2010.

The Warren Coleman Honorary Award is the highest honor conferred by the Iowa Lions Foundation. In receiving it, Goodyk joined the ranks of some of the most prominent Lions in the state of Iowa. Earning the Warren Coleman Honorary Award requires more than a financial commitment to the Iowa Lions Foundation. The award recognizes deep commitment to the ideals of Lionism and concern for the welfare for those in need. The award also recognizes leaders among the Lions of Iowa who promote their important work and expand its scopes of services. Through people like Goodyk, the Iowa Lions Foundation will be enabled to take on greater humanitarian challenges than ever before.

“For the example of leadership and service that you have set for all Lions, we are profoundly grateful,” said E. Duane Eldred of the Iowa Lions Foundation in his letter accompanying the award. “We wish you continued success in achieving our common goal of service to all mankind.”
