Pending Lynnville-Sully School Board approval on July 18, 2011, the following teachers will be joining the staff at L-S.

Nate Tobey will teach social studies at Lynnville-Sully High School next year.  Nate will replace Travis Dee who accepted a teaching position at Baxter.

  • Iowa State University graduate in 2011 (Bachelor of Science in Education)
  • Certifications: 5-12 All Social Sciences and Coach
  • Student teaching experience at West Marshall High School in State Center, IA
  • Student teaching experience at Indianola Middle School in Indianola, IA
  • Assistant head baseball/head junior varsity coach at Lake Mills HS (May 2009 - July 2011)
  • Enjoys politics, history, fitness, athletics, and reading
  • Favorite teams: Iowa State Cyclones, Atlanta Braves, Denver Broncos, Chicago Bulls
  • Forest City High School graduate:

Mallory Maharry will teach special education at Lynnville-Sully Elementary School next year.  Mallory will replace Rochelle Fopma who accepted a teaching position at Baxter.

  • Certifications: K-6 Teacher Elementary Classroom; K-8 Instructional Strategist I: Mild/Moderate & Reading Endorsement
  • Student teaching experience at The Terrace School of Technology in Alexandria, New Zealand
  • Student teaching experience at Park Avenue Elementary in Des Moines
  • Enjoys baking, cooking, water activities in the summer, skiing in the winter, traveling
  • Webster City High School graduate
  • Student activities: Show Choir, Choir, Track, Softball, Student Council
  • Honor Roll student every year
  • Participated in five mission trips with her church each summer of high school
  • Took a lot of art classes in high school
