l_ladwigLejon Ladwig, 50, has joined the First State Bank of Lynnville and Sully as vice president with his office at the Sully location.

Ladwig was born and raised with one sister on a farm near Baring, MO, and is a graduate of Knox County High School. In 1985, he received a BA in business from Central College in Pella. He also has an MBA degree from Williams Woods University, Fulton, MO.

“I transitioned from full-time farming into banking when a position opened at the nearby Bank of Kirksville,” Ladwig said. For the past nine-plus years, he has been the assistant vice president at the Bank of Kirksville in Missouri. “As Central grads, my wife and I have been considering relocating to central Iowa and when I interviewed here I was very impressed with the communities in this area and the pride of ownership displayed throughout the region,” Ladwig said. “This area is a good fit for my conservative background,” he smiled.

Ladwig’s wife Lori is completing her contract at Truman University so he is living at a temporary Lynnville location. They have one daughter, Emily, 19, who will be a sophomore this fall at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, MO, where she is a business major.

Ladwig’s hobbies are reading and walking.

“The community members and First State Bank co-workers have been gracious in extending a warm welcome to me and I look forward to meeting everyone,” Ladwig concluded.
