The 2011 Sully’s Town Christmas was a success on Friday, Dec. 23. Area businesses invited residents to visit the workplace and enjoy holiday treats as they filled out entry forms for the Sully Money drawing. It may not have been a white Christmas but the unseasonably warm temperatures made journeying around Sully enjoyable. Santa Claus heard the wish lists of many children in the Sully Community Center and the youngsters left with a bag of goodies and a chance to be a winner in the Sully Lions Club Coloring Contest.

“This was one of the best business promotions I’ve ever done. It was a great way to see a variety of businesses – some I’d never been to before,” said Howard Vander Griend of Sully. “Some even gave us little tours, it was just great.”

Winners of the $100 worth of Sully Money, shown are from left, Marilyn and Howard Vander Griend, Darrel Jansen, and Don Van Rees, all of Sully. The Sully Money was made possible by Sully Development Corp. and Sully businesses.
