altMiles and miles of running throughout the past seasons culminated last weekend in the highest team finish at state for a Lynnville-Sully girls cross-country team since 1996, when the girls team was state champions. The L-S girls gave it their all in a fifth-place team finish at the state meet in Fort Dodge on Saturday, Nov. 2. The Hawks had four girls finish in the top 45 runners in the girls’ third appearance at state in the past four years. Additionally, L-S’s lone boy at the meet, sophomore Canyon Kuhlmann, finished 49th out of 128 finishers with a time of 17:52.
