The parents of the Lynnville-Sully High School seniors have been busy organizing an after prom. They have held some fundraisers and have a couple more to complete before the prom on Apr. 20.

The parents' last big fundraiser will be a meal served in conjunction with the Art Show and Academic Fair from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, Mar. 18, in the middle school gym. The menu includes beefburgers, hotdogs, salads, potato chips, desserts, and drinks for a freewill donation. Everyone is welcome with all proceeds to benefit the L-S After Prom.

The parents also have a pop can drive going on and you can drop off cans in the east parking lot near the FFA greenhouse on Monday night, Mar. 18. For a few months now, the parents have been collecting donations of pop cans and bottles as a fundraiser to support the L-S After Prom. The after prom party provides the opportunity for the prom attendeees to participate in a substance-free night of entertainment.

If you have cans and bottles you wish to donate, drop them off at the home of Barry Beyer (1001 4th St., Sully), or contact a committee member to arrange collection.

Committee members are Barry and Linda Beyer, Alan and Brenda Newell, Myron Fraker, Corey and Sasha Goodyk, David and Beth Hamilton, and Kendall and Marlene Rozendaal.
