Both the Pella Christian High School boys and girls basektball teams played at the 2013 state tournament.

The girls team earned their third consecutive state tournament berth following their dominating sub-state win against Woodward-Granger, 65-36, on Feb. 18. Their opening state tournament game was a rematch of last year's state championship game when they played Western Christian of Hull on Feb. 25. The boys team earned a trip to state with a 66-49 sub-state win over Notre Dame (Burlington) on Feb. 23 in Ottumwa.The Eagles (20-4) were seeded No. 6 in Class 2A and played Sheldon (22-3) on Mar. 5, losing 63-57.
