The Lynnville-Sully High School girls basketball team ended their season at the state tournament where they lost 38-34 in a game that went down to the wire against Colo-Nesco. They fell in the quarterfinal game on Monday, Mar. 1, ending their season with a 21-4 record and second place in the SICL. The team qualified for the state tournament for the third time in four years. Five seniors guiding the girls team to the state tournament were Cassie Cullen , Lyndsay Terpstra, Rachel Van Wyk, Jade Van Rees, and Becca Vos. Members of the girls basketball team shown with the state qualifying banner are: Front, Tierney Needham, Kasiah Ehresman, Madison Rasmusson, Brenna Lanser, Jelissa Rozendaal, Marissa Vos; back, Coach Jerry Hulsing, Bayli Van Manen, Rachel Van Wyk, Jade Van Rees, Lyndsay Terpstra, Becca Vos, Cassie Cullen, Lysandra James, Shelby Davis, and Coach Jeff Corbett.


The boys basketball team finished its season second in the SICL Conference. Two seniors on the team were also the top two scorers, TJ Cunningham and Darin Hofer.
